What If Your Life Isn’t Yours? 1 Cor 6:11-20 is the topic that will be discussed today on RIOT Podcast, a Christian Discipleship Podcast.
𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁?
In this week’s episode, we finish 𝟭 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝟲 as the Apostle Paul moves from 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽. After reminding believers, “𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂,” Paul presses deeper, asking a confronting question: 𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘄?
This conversation explores what it truly means to be 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱, 𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱, and why freedom in Christ is not self-expression—but surrender. Paul challenges the idea that faith is only spiritual and reveals that our 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 are meant to reflect Christ’s lordship.
𝗜𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝗽𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗱𝗲, 𝘄𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀:
Why the gospel doesn’t manage sin—it transforms identity
What “freedom in Christ” actually means (and what it doesn’t)
Why the body is not morally neutral but belongs to the Lord
How sexual sin is about union, not just behavior
What it means to be one spirit with Christ
Why Scripture tells us to flee temptation instead of negotiating with it
How understanding ownership changes obedience from restriction to worship
Paul’s message is clear: 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻—𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲.
This episode invites us to stop living from who we were and start living from who we belong to.
If you’ve ever struggled with identity, freedom, or surrender, this passage speaks directly to the heart of the Christian life—not as rule-keeping, but as joyful alignment with Christ.
